Catholic Connect Launches Education Portal at Major Superiors Meeting in Bangalore

Bangalore, March 1, 2025 – Catholic Connect officially launched its Education Portal at the Major Provincial Superiors Meeting held at Paalanaa Bhavana, Bangalore, on March 1. The portal was inaugurated by Archbishop Peter Machado of Bangalore, who also serves as the Vice President of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CCBI), along with Auxiliary Bishops Most Rev. Arokia Raj Satis Kumar and Most Rev. Joseph Susainathan.   Rev. Fr. Dionysius Vaz, SJ, Provincial of the Karnataka Jesuit Province; Rev. Fr. Xavier E. Manavath, CMF, Episcopal Vicar for Religious; and Mr. Nigel Fernandes, CEO of Catholic Connect, were among the key dignitaries present at the launch.   Fr. Cyril Victor, the CCBI National Media Apostolate, introduced the various features of Catholic Connect, encouraging religious leaders to actively participate in the Church’s digital mission through the platform. Speaking about the newly launched Education Portal, he highlighted its role as a comprehensive directory of Catholic schools and colleges, designed to assist students in making informed decisions based on their preferred courses.   Also present at the launch was Abhishek Joseph, General Manager of Catholic Connect, who played a pivotal role in the development and execution of the Education Portal. He was joined by his Catholic Connect team, whose efforts were instrumental in the successful rollout of the initiative.   The launch marks another milestone for Catholic Connect, reinforcing its commitment to serving the Catholic community through digital innovation and resource accessibility.   By Catholic Connect Reporter
